Refund and Returns Policy

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

  • Domestic Orders: Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery.
  • International Orders: All sales are final.
  • Return Process: Contact us through contact@effec.store to obtain return procedures and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA).
  • Original Packaging:
    • The original box and packaging materials are part of the product and must be kept in the received condition during the return window.
  • Shipping Requirements:
    • All returns must be securely shipped back in the original box with the original packaging materials.
    • Items without the original box and packaging materials are not eligible for return or refund.
  • Return Shipment Costs: The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs and arrangements.
  • Refund Policy:
    • Refunds are issued after the item passes a detailed inspection at our warehouse.
    • Refund amount equals the purchase price minus a 20% restocking fee, which covers the original shipping and handling costs.
    • Additional delivery service fees (if applied) are non-refundable.
  • Return Condition: Items must arrive in brand-new condition. Items with scratches, dents, stains, wear & tear, or modifications are not eligible for a refund.
  • Buyer Responsibility:
    • The buyer is responsible for any loss or damage to the item before it is received at our warehouse.
    • Items damaged during return shipping are not eligible for a refund.
  • Inspection Timeline: Returns will be inspected within 10 business days after being received.

DAMAGED & DEFECTIVE ITEMS

  • Inspection upon delivery: Inspect all parts of your order carefully before assembly.
    • Do not open the hardware bag or assemble the product if any damage or defect is noticed.
  • Reporting Damage: Notify us within 7 days of delivery by emailing contact@effec.store with:
    • Detailed description of the damage or defect.
    • Supporting photos of the item, original box, and packaging materials.
  • Assembled Items: Assembled items are the buyer’s responsibility and are not eligible for return or replacement.
  • Return Packaging: Damaged or defective items must be securely shipped back in the original box and packaging materials.
  • Replacement Policy: Damaged or defective items will be replaced at no cost to the buyer. Refunds are not offered for these cases.
    • If replacement parts are unavailable for over a month, store credit will be issued.

EXCEPTIONS

At Effect LLC, we take pride in crafting high-quality products; however, some specific natural materials characteristics are exceptions to our return and replacement policies. These are outlined below:

Custom products

Custom product can’t be returned.

Natural Characteristics of some materials:

  • Minor Imperfections and Cracks: Small hairline cracks, minor imperfections, and finish variations are natural and expected with hardwood and natural materials elements.
  • Temperature and Humidity Effects: Shrinkage, expansion, cracks and deformation on wood products may occur over time due to environmental changes.
  • Unique Wood Patterns: Each piece of wood furniture has distinctive grain patterns, textures, and knots, which are part of its natural beauty and uniqueness.
  • Batch Variations: Differences in wood tone, grain direction, and finish may occur between production batches.

Aging and Environmental Exposure:

  • Color Changes: Hardwood products may change color naturally over time due to light exposure and aging.
  • Sunlight Effects: Prolonged exposure to sunlight or daylight may cause discoloration or fading. Objects placed on products should be moved and rotated regularly.

Minor Variations in Dimensions:

  • Dimensional Tolerances: Fractional differences in dimensions are expected due to the natural characteristics of wood and manufacturing processes.

Less Visible Areas:

  • Interior and Underside Imperfections: Variations or imperfections in areas like drawers, storage compartments, and the back or bottom surfaces are not considered defects.

Product Functionality:

  • Creaking Sounds: Natural wood products may produce creaking sounds over time, which is considered a normal occurrence.

Photography and Screen Displays:

  • Color Representation: While we strive to capture accurate images, variations in screen displays, lighting conditions, and photography settings can result in perceived differences in color tones.
  • Batch Photography: Photos may feature products from different manufacturing batches and can show variations in color tones.

Product-Specific Exceptions:

  • Sale Items: Items purchased on sale are final sale and not eligible for return.
  • Parts Sold Separately: Individual parts are not eligible for return or refund.
  • Size and Fit: Returns or replacements are not accepted for issues related to size or fit. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure the furniture’s dimensions suit their space (e.g., doors, stairways, or rooms) before purchasing. We recommend carefully reviewing the product specifications or contact us for more details prior to purchase.

ORDER CANCELATION

Most of our products are made to order.

Immediately you place the order we start working on it, which entails logistical and material costs.

Canceling an order requires confirmation from our production team to ensure that the material has not started to be processed, fees will apply as detailed below.

  • Cancelation Fees:
    • 10% cancelation fee for logistic costs.
    • 2.9% bank transaction fee (5.9% for Affirm payments).
  • Custom products: Custom product orders cannot be canceled
